After talks with your professionals, we felt certain that your product would meet our needs. Now, after installation, those beliefs have become a reality. The poly extruded mat was easy for country club staff to install and required no specialty tools, just the razor knife, straight edge, and caulk gun. The mat provides excellent drainage, and has reduced the risk of slips and falls. The “High Friction” aluminum oxide grit coating that was promised by your staff functioned as promised, and we are thoroughly pleased.
Besides the practice elements, the ability to choose from a color palate that would meld with building and facility décor is an added bonus. We are proud to have utilized a product made in the USA.

We had a lot of steps, wooden walkways and bridges that were of concern when the club decided to go spikeless. PEM Golf Course Matting was easily installed on these areas and the members love it. Water drains right through the mat, and it provides excellent traction for spikeless traffic. The PVC construction also greatly reduces golf ball bounce on high impact areas, around greens and fairways. The rubber matting I tried was always wet on the underside and slippery when moist. All of the rubber was replaced with PEM Golf Course Matting. I think it will truly last for many years.

If you have any input to your greens committee, I highly recommend PEM Golf Course Matting. At our club, we have used a multitude of railroad ties for paths and steps. Upon making soft spikes mandatory, players were constantly slipping on the ties. After several hip, shoulder and knee injuries, we soon saw an urgency to solve the problem, and we were fortunate to find PEM Golf Course Matting. The product looks great, doesn't fade, and gives tremendous footing. Quite a savings over replacing the railroad ties! It can also be used to cover cart paths in play, as it greatly reduces the bounce of the golf ball!

Prior to changing over to a "soft spikes" policy at the end of 1997, all our matting was that stiffed ribbed rubber. However, if the dew was heavy, heavy frost or rain, these mats were extremely slippery. In our pursuit to replace these mats and experimenting with a few different types, we found that PEM Golf Course Matting was the best. No slipping, easy to clean and easy to install. I could recommend this product to anyone with a similar need.
